Insurers and public subsidizers of health benefits will see the clinical outcomes and cost benefits and are expected to reimburse costs of DermaStream™ therapy for chronic wound healing.
However as DermaStream treatments are currently only available through controlled protocols and studies by hospitals, clinics and specialty medical practitioners, each insurer determines its own level of reimbursement.
We are committed to securing maximum reimbursement for DermaStream patients. Upon broader public availability of the DermaStream treatment, we expect a national Medicare/Medicaid policy and code will be in place to facilitate optimal reimbursement.
