The SilverStream (prescription), and DermaSept (OTC) Solutions, are clear, hypertonic aqueous solutions designed for the mechanical cleansing and removal of debris and foreign material from the application site.

Debris and foreign materials are mechanically removed by the action of the fluid moving across the wound bed. In addition, the product is hypertonic and contains a surfactant to assist with the removal of foreign material.
The SilverStream and DermaSept Solutions contain a broad spectrum antimicrobial agent (silver) that inhibits the growth of microorganisms such as Eschericha coli, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger.
